Where do I hold lessons?
I am based in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. I offer in person sessions from my home. I live near midland and Lawrence. Alternatively, I offer lessons online via zoom.
Fees
Please note, when engaging the services of a tutor, while the fees are set at an hourly rate, fees are reflective of the work we have to do outside of immediate contact hours with the students. At present I do not have the capacity to offer lower fee rates.
Please note, lesson duration varies according to student’s age.
Do I offer group lessons?
At present, I run group workshops when there is demand. Having moved from the U.K. in 2023, I am still working on building up my teaching practice. If you have a group of 3+ children around the same age, I am happy to discuss setting up regular classes for the group. I do not recommend teaching siblings or cousins together. In such dynamics, who get’s to be the ‘loud one’, and who is the ‘quiet one’, and the ‘responsible one’ etc. becomes quite fixed. My attention then becomes focussed on overcoming these dynamics and getting children to participate equally instead of focussing on teaching.
Do I offer sibling discounts?
For siblings, I discount $5 per child.
